How It Works
1. Custom Design & Up to 25% Off
We design a solar, battery, or solar + battery system tailored specifically to your home and energy goals. You pay the discounted lease amount upfront, locking in up to 25% savings from day one.
2. SVSS Ownership Unlocks Commercial Tax Credits
Residential solar tax credits ended in 2025, but commercial solar incentives remain. We temporarily own your system to capture those commercial tax credits and pass the savings directly to you upfront - dropping the prepayment amount but up to 25%.
3. Optional Ownership After Five Years
From day one, you enjoy 100% of the clean energy your system produces, completely backed by our fully covered proactive maintenance and a five-year performance guarantee. Once our required five-year ownership period is fulfilled, you have a clear option to take full ownership with a single fair-market-value payment. At that point, all remaining manufacturer equipment warranties and your Sun Valley Solar Solutions workmanship warranty instantly transfer to your name.
4. Optional Continuation
Not ready to buy at year six? No problem. Simply continue your lease with low, fixed monthly payments. Sun Valley Solar Solutions will keep actively monitoring and maintaining your system the entire time.
5. Lifetime Savings
Once you purchase the system—whether at year six or at the end of your 15-year lease—the lease ends, and you own the system. All remaining manufacturer warranties instantly transfer to your name, with panel warranties lasting up to 30 years and batteries up to 15 years. And if you ever want ongoing performance assurance, Sun Valley Solar Solutions offers optional, standalone maintenance plans to keep your system running flawlessly for decades.
FAQ:
-
How does the Sun Valley Amicus Impact lease unlock upfront savings?
While residential solar tax credits ended for homeowner-owned systems in 2025, commercial solar tax incentives remain available under a different section of the tax code. As a commercial entity, Sun Valley Amicus Impact Leasing LLC is able to access these commercial tax credits so long as we retain ownership of the system for a minimum of five years.
-
Is there an easy buyout option if I want to own the system?
At the start of Year 6 (month 61)—once Sun Valley Amicus Leasing fulfills the 5-year ownership period required by the IRS—you can purchase the system outright with a single fair-market-value payment.
-
I’ve heard horror stories about solar leases. How is this different?
Most solar lease horror stories stem from the same root cause: long-term contracts designed by national lenders that feature aggressive annual price hikes and complicated transfer rules. Rather than offering an off-the-shelf product we can't control, we partnered with our Amicus Cooperative to build our own. The result is a transparent, locally managed lease designed specifically to put the homeowner first.
Here is how the Sun Valley Amicus Impact Lease eliminates traditional lease traps:
- No Endless Payments: Instead of a never-ending 25-year bill, this lease features a transparent buyout option at year six.
- No Rate Hikes: If you choose to extend your lease instead of buying the system, you lock in a fixed, predictable monthly payment.
- No Faceless Middlemen: You aren't dealing with a national bank. The lease, the installation, and the long-term maintenance are all handled directly by Sun Valley Solar Solutions.
- No Real Estate Roadblocks: If you decide to move, selling your home is seamless. You can easily transfer the agreement and its low energy payments to the new buyer, or buy the system outright to include in the sale.
- No Complicated Buyouts: Taking full ownership in year six is simple. There are no hidden fees or convoluted formulas—just a straightforward transition to full ownership with a single fair-market-value payment.
-
Why do I have to wait five years before ownership transfers to me?
To unlock available commercial solar tax credits, the system must be owned by a commercial entity—in this case, Sun Valley Amicus Leasing LLC —for the first five years. During this time, you receive 100% of the system’s energy and financial benefits. This includes your upfront discount, and comprehensive, proactive system maintenance.
-
What happens if I sell my home during the first five years?
Because we handle both the financing and the installation, we make moving easy. You can transfer the lease to the new homebuyer (giving them the benefit of your low energy payments), or, if you are past the initial 5-year term, you can buy the system outright and include a fully owned solar asset in the sale of your home. We will work directly with you and your realtor to ensure a smooth transition.
-
Who services my system if something happens?
Sun Valley Solar Solutions handles all servicing directly. You never have to deal with an out-of-state call center or a distant 3rd-party leasing company.
- During Your Lease (Years 1–5+): All active monitoring, proactive maintenance, performance guarantee, and system repairs are 100% covered by Sun Valley Amicus Leasing at zero extra cost to you. If a component breaks or underperforms, our local crew fixes it.
- If You Buyout The System (Year 6+): If you opt to purchase the system, all remaining manufacturer warranties (up to 30 years on panels and 15 years on batteries) plus our 10-year workmanship warranty transfer directly to you. Sun Valley Solar Solutions remains your local, go-to team for any future support.
- If You Extend The Lease (Year 6+): Not ready to buy the system? If you choose to extend the lease and not opt to buyout the system, your coverage stays exactly the same. We continue to fully maintain, monitor, and repair your system at no additional cost, while your monthly payments stay locked.
