SVSS Partners with St. Vincent de Paul for Heat Relief

Throughout July, Sun Valley Solar Solutions hosted a supply drive to collect items to make the hot and stormy Arizona summer more hospitable for The Valley's homeless. So far, 2017 has seen record-breaking temperatures and monsoon storms that have left many areas with flooding and damage. While these events may come as an inconvenience to the average Arizona resident, they can be devastating and even lethal to those without a roof over their head. This is what inspired Sun Valley Solar Solutions to take action and do its part.

Did You Know? Over 30,000 people seek assistance from homelessness each year right here in Maricopa County. And about ¼ of those homeless Arizonans are children. Organizations like St. Vincent de Paul are making a positive difference in the lives of these individuals and families by providing hope in the form of resources for healthier and happier living. Whether through the innovative Dream Center, which helps children with academic success while providing their families with a hot meal, or through food and supply drives like this one, St. Vincent de Paul depends on the support of our community to make a positive impact on thousands of lives every single day.

Through the July Summer Survival Drive, Sun Valley Solar Solutions employees collected 32 cases of water and three boxes of supplies to contribute to St. Vincent de Paul’s effort. It is hoped that these efforts not only help those who need it most, but inspire others throughout the community to support the causes that are most important to them.

Kyle Ritland, Marketing and Customer Experience

After working in technology marketing throughout the Pacific Northwest and Silicon Valley for more than 20 years, Kyle opted to follow his heart and focus his talents in solar energy.

As the head of Marketing at Sun Valley Solar Solutions, Kyle works hard to demystify the ever-changing solar landscape in Arizona and across the country. He especially enjoys helping people separate fact from fiction by presenting solar transparently and accurately, rather than relying on hype or deceptive marketing tactics that are far too common with some solar companies.

When not touting the benefits of solar, encouraging his friends to opt for paper over plastic, or growing his own vegetables, Kyle is generally found hiking with his pointer Bravo or preparing a home-cooked meal for friends.

“If you truly understand how solar works it’s easy to see through the gimmicks. The opportunity for savings is very real when you have the correct information”
