Sun Valley Solar Solutions (SVSS) is honored to highlight our impactful partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Central Arizona. This collaboration is a testament to our dedication to community service and sustainable energy practices.

SVSS's Commitment to Community and Sustainability
  • Partnering for a Cause: In 2019, SVSS joined forces with Habitat for Humanity to provide a 5.1kW solar energy installation for the Marquez family in Phoenix, showcasing our commitment to making renewable energy accessible to all.
  • Benefits for the Marquez Family: The rooftop solar array produces over 8,000 kilowatt-hours annually, significantly reducing the family's energy bills and contributing to environmental sustainability.
Habitat for Humanity's Role in Community Development
  • Building Homes and Hope: Habitat for Humanity of Central Arizona, a local affiliate of the global organization, has provided affordable housing solutions and energy-efficient upgrades to needy families.
  • A Shared Vision: Their work aligns with SVSS's mission of fostering sustainable communities, making this partnership an effective vehicle for social and environmental change.
The Lasting Impact of Solar Energy

"Every day is Earth Day for our Habitat for Humanity family and friends. We are super grateful for like-minded partners like Sun Valley Solar, who have been great to work with," said Jason Barlow, President and CEO of Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona. "Keeping energy costs low is critical to making home ownership more affordable for families. The Marquez family is celebrating a fresh start today, and we're grateful to everyone who joins our mission to build a better future - one home and one family at a time."

The new solar addition is part of Habitat for Humanity's new 2,200 sq. ft. home built for the Marquez family in Deer Valley. The rooftop array comprises 20 ReneSola panels combined with a SolarEdge inverter. In addition to its numerous financial benefits, the new Sun Valley Solar Solutions system will have a substantial environmental impact with an estimated clean energy offset equivalent to more than 6,000 pounds of coal burned or nearly 14,000 miles driven in the average car.*

"With energy costs only increasing, access to affordable energy alternatives is becoming increasingly important for families in all walks of life," said Sun Valley Solar Solutions CEO Russ Patzer. "Thanks to their new solar energy system, the Marquez family is better equipped to hedge against the certainty of rising electricity costs over time while enjoying the immediate relief that comes with lower monthly bills. Also, by providing this young family with access to a cleaner alternative, we send a strong message about the role that everyone can play in ensuring a more sustainable future for generations to come."

As the head of Marketing at Sun Valley Solar Solutions, Kyle works hard to demystify the ever-changing solar landscape in Arizona and across the country. He especially enjoys helping people separate fact from fiction by presenting solar transparently and accurately, rather than relying on hype or deceptive marketing tactics that are far too common with some solar companies.

When not touting the benefits of solar, encouraging his friends to opt for paper over plastic, or growing his own vegetables, Kyle is generally found hiking with his pointer Bravo or preparing a home-cooked meal for friends.
