SVSS Celebrates Opening of New Chandler Headquarters

Community representatives joined company leaders and employees on October 29, 2015, to celebrate the official opening of Sun Valley Solar Solutions' stunning new headquarters at 3225 N. Colorado Street in Chandler.

Company co-founders Russ Patzer, CEO, and Joe Messner, CTO, marked the milestone with a formal ribbon cutting where Patzer offered his thoughts about the fully-renovated facility and rapid growth of the company he co-founded just seven years ago.

“In 2014 alone, our revenue increased by more than 50 percent, and for 2015, we’re conservatively forecasting more than a 60 percent increase over last year,” Patzer explained. “This building provides us with the critical infrastructure to address the increasing demand for our clean, affordable energy solutions while simultaneously allowing us to streamline operations by bringing our commercial and residential divisions together under one roof.”

Originally constructed in 1996, the stand-alone facility was purchased by Sun Valley Solar Solutions in February 2015. The building began an extensive renovation in preparation for a phased move-in throughout the summer.

The newly christened Sun Valley Solar Solutions headquarters offers more than 9,000 square feet of stunning new office and showroom space, a 15,000-square-foot warehouse facility with a five-bay shipping/receiving dock, and more than an acre of fenced yard to house the company’s rapidly expanding 32-vehicle fleet.

Ribbon_Cut_Reduced.jpg Terri Kimble, Chandler Chamber of Commerce CEO/President, said, “Sun Valley Solar Solutions has supported the Chandler business collective and residential community since 2006. We are proud to hold this ribbon cutting commemorating their growth and expansion. This wonderful facility is truly a gage of their success.”

Sun Valley Solar Solutions currently has more than 100 full and part-time employees at their Chandler headquarters—up from 80 at the end of 2014. The company expects to fill 20-30 full-time positions in 2016. Current full-time job opportunities include solar installers, designers, project managers, and sales reps.

After working in technology marketing throughout the Pacific Northwest and Silicon Valley for more than 20 years, Kyle opted to follow his heart and focus his talents in solar energy.

As the head of Marketing at Sun Valley Solar Solutions, Kyle works hard to demystify the ever-changing solar landscape in Arizona and across the country. He especially enjoys helping people separate fact from fiction by presenting solar transparently and accurately, rather than relying on hype or deceptive marketing tactics that are far too common with some solar companies.

When not touting the benefits of solar, encouraging his friends to opt for paper over plastic, or growing his own vegetables, Kyle is generally found hiking with his pointer Bravo or preparing a home-cooked meal for friends.

“If you truly understand how solar works it’s easy to see through the gimmicks. The opportunity for savings is very real when you have the correct information”
